DOMAINE DANIEL et VINCENT DAMPT

Daniel Dampt is one of the largest producers of domaine-bottled Chablis. His cellars and vineyards are centred on Milly, overlooking the town of Chablis. Half his holdings are Chablis AOC and the other half Chablis 1er Cru. He took over the running of the domaine from his father-in-law Jean Defaix in the 1990's and is now joined by his sons Vincent and Sebastien. The winemaking and style is very similar with the same purity and steely, classic Chablis character that make his father in law's wines so appealing. No oak is used at this domaine. The great specialities are the soft, forward, open 1er Cru Vaillon and the wonderfully rich Cote de Lechet that often has the power and complexity of a Grand Cru. They recently added an estate Petit Chablis (recent planting) to their range, and two Grand Crus Bougros and Les Clos (the only exceptions to their no oak age rule) which is made from purchased grapes and is sold under the Maison Dampt label.

Not Valid for UK, Ontario, Singapore, Japan, Australia, New York, Texas and Florida.
